1x Reschke Cellar Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2020

Red — Cabernet Sauvignon

Coonawarra — Australia

This family winery have been landowners in Coonawarra for over 100 years. They are Coonawarra experts and the jewel in their crown is, of course, cabernet sauvignon. Their wines consistently score highly with critics and this 2020 cellar release is a showcase of a deep understanding of the land and masterstroke winemaking.

The blackberry fruit concentration is immense and elevated by fine, dancing tannin. It wouldn't be Coonawarra without the marriage of mint and tobacco, rounding out mouth-feel and driving complexity. This is fantastic drinking now and will age gracefully for another decade.

You'd pay $90 full price.

1x Archery Road Longbow Shiraz 2021

Red — Shiraz

Barossa — Australia

From the prized southern part of the sun-drenched Barossa, steeped in quality grown shiraz (you know we’ve done the research). It’s right here, where the surrounding views offer the picture-perfect painting; a diversity of colours from the tree leaves to the soils, which in turn give our favourite grape - shiraz. A blend of hand-selected low-yielding parcels, you’ll find generous flavours of black fruit, olive and pepper spice, backed by silky tannins, yet the wine is intense on the palate, with a great depth and length.

You'd pay $90 full price.

1x Magarey Lane Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

Red — Cabernet Sauvignon

Coonawarra — Australia

Cassis and red currant right up front. Tannins grip the gums and arrest the mouth before some round, smooth oak work offers relief. This is a prime example of Coonawarra's reliability in delivering regional and varietal typicity: fresh red and black fruits into more briary, developed, darker fruit tones, followed by coffee, chocolate, cedar, and fruit-leather. This is a drink-some-hold-some wine, it's looking brilliant right now, but we can't help but wonder what excellence a few years in the cellar may bring...

You'd pay $80 full price.

1x Cape Barren Wild Goose Shiraz 2022

Red — Shiraz

McLaren Vale — Australia

Spoilt for choice of old vine shiraz, this producer captures the intensity of their vineyards in true style. They've built a reputation for wines that are true to McLaren Vale, and the generations of craft that have been invested into the region. There’s deeply bound notes of spicy, chocolatey french oak that complements the pure line of blackcurrant, bramble and licorice. Standing tall now, we can’t wait to see where this will be in many years time.

You'd pay $75 full price.

1x Austin's Wines 6ft6 Pinot Noir 2024

Red — Pinot Noir

Geelong — Australia

Geelong is, for me, the best pinot noir producing region outside of Burgundy. Not the USA's Oregon, not New Zealand's Central Otago - little old Geelong on Victoria's south coast.
Fresh and inviting, this will give a lot with just a little swirl in the glass. Raspberry coulis, winter strawberry, some sweet spice, fennel, thistle. The complexity far outpaces its price tag. The wine is structured without sacrificing finesse, which means it's pretty without being thin or wussy. This is dangerous value at $15 and worth stocking up because we don't anticipate we'll be able to hang onto it too for long.

You'd pay $45 full price.

1x Angove Family Winemakers 1886 Shiraz 2021

Red — Shiraz

Barossa — Australia

This wine was crafted using traditional techniques at the historic, century-old Angove winery. After gentle de-stemming, wild fermentation was embraced in open fermenters to let the site’s character shine. Twice-daily hand plunging and pump-overs built colour, structure and complexity. Once dry, the wine was basket-pressed and sent to French oak for a long, slow maturation. Blackberry compote, aniseed and crushed herbs leap from the glass, supported by overt cedar and warming spice. The palate is rich and full-bodied, with a velvety texture that weaves dark plum, mocha and savoury oak into a seamless whole. Bright acidity and fine tannins stretch the finish long and clean. This is Barossa done beautifully. Drink now - it'll last for 10 years in the cellar but just drink it, it's so good right now.

You'd pay $50 full price.

Frequently Asked Questions

This carefully curated selection brings together premium wines from established producers at a fraction of their individual retail prices. The pack includes award-winning bottles with scores up to 97 points, featuring Five Star Halliday rated wineries and Gold Medal winners. By purchasing as a mixed case, you're accessing quality wines that would typically cost significantly more when bought separately, making it an ideal way to explore different styles without the premium price tag.

The pack spans the full spectrum of red wine experiences, from the elegant, lighter-bodied Pinot Noir with its raspberry and sour cherry notes to the robust Cabernet Sauvignon showcasing blackcurrant and cedar complexity. The Shiraz offerings bridge this gap with their plum, chocolate, and spice characteristics, creating a harmonious progression that allows you to match different wines to various meals, seasons, and occasions throughout the week.

The diverse flavour profiles in this pack make it incredibly food-friendly across multiple cuisines. The Pinot Noir's bright acidity and red fruit notes pair beautifully with duck, salmon, or mushroom dishes, while the Cabernet Sauvignon's tannin structure and blackcurrant intensity complement red meats and aged cheeses. The Shiraz varieties, with their chocolate and spice notes, work wonderfully with barbecued meats, hearty stews, and even dark chocolate desserts.

Most wines in this pack are crafted for immediate enjoyment while still having the structure to develop further with proper cellaring. The 2024 Pinot Noir is at its youthful peak, showcasing vibrant fruit flavours, while the 2020-2022 Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz have had time to integrate their tannins and are drinking beautifully now. However, the premium Cabernet Sauvignon could easily develop additional complexity over the next 5-8 years if stored properly.

The impressive array of 94-97 point scores from respected critics like James Halliday, Wine Orbit, and Ray Jordan indicates exceptional winemaking across all bottles. These ratings reflect not just immediate drinking pleasure, but also technical excellence in viticulture and cellar practices. The Five Star Halliday winery ratings and Gold Medal wins at prestigious shows like the Cairns Wine Show demonstrate consistent quality and recognition within Australia's competitive wine industry, ensuring each bottle meets professional standards.
