We were, quite frankly, gobsmacked to get our hands on this cab straight from the cellar of this iconic Coonawarra producer, and we're confident you'll feel just the same.

Coonawarra's famous terra rossa soil over limestone bedrock creates perfect drainage while retaining essential nutrients for Cabernet Sauvignon. The region's cool climate allows for extended ripening periods, developing intense flavours while maintaining natural acidity. This unique terroir combination produces Cabernets with distinctive eucalyptus and mint characteristics alongside rich dark fruit, making it Australia's premier Cabernet region.

The wine's rich cocoa and coffee notes make it perfect for char-grilled red meats, particularly aged beef with herb crusts or lamb with rosemary. The baking spice elements pair beautifully with game meats like venison or duck, while the blackberry and liquorice flavours complement strong cheeses like aged cheddar or blue cheese.
