There's Prosecco, and then there's Italian Prosecco. And if you've ever had the real thing - grown and made where it's supposed to be grown and made - you already know the difference is not subtle. Easy to drink, fun to drink, refreshing to drink. Honestly, just drink this, it's so so so so so good!

Why do we love this wine?

This is the genuine article. D.O.C Treviso, the heartland of the style, doing exactly what it does better than anywhere else on earth. Fine, persistent bubbles, a nose full of ripe pear, golden apple and acacia blossom, and a palate that's fresh, lively and just off-dry enough to be dangerously easy drinking. It's the aperitif that needs no occasion. Friday afternoon, a long lunch that's getting longer, or the kind of Tuesday that absolutely deserves a glass of something fizzy and Italian. Pour it cold. Drink it fast. Open another one (within reason).

Frequently Asked Questions

This Nadal Prosecco comes from the DOC Treviso region, which is the official heartland of authentic Prosecco production in Italy's Veneto region. Unlike Champagne which uses traditional method fermentation, Prosecco is made using the Charmat method where secondary fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks, preserving the fresh, fruity character. The DOC designation guarantees it's made from Glera grapes grown in the designated area, ensuring the genuine Italian style that's become beloved worldwide.

In Prosecco terminology, 'Extra Dry' is actually slightly sweeter than 'Brut', containing 12-17 grams of residual sugar per litre. This creates the 'just off-dry' character mentioned in the tasting notes, making it more approachable and food-friendly than bone-dry styles. The subtle sweetness balances beautifully with the wine's natural acidity and enhances the ripe pear and golden apple flavours, making it dangerously easy to drink as described.

Serve this Prosecco well-chilled at 6-8°C in flute glasses to preserve the fine, persistent bubbles that are characteristic of quality Prosecco. The cold temperature enhances the fresh, lively palate and allows the delicate aromas of acacia blossom and ripe fruit to shine. Open just before serving as Prosecco is best enjoyed immediately - unlike Champagne, it doesn't benefit from extended contact with air and should be consumed within a day or two of opening.

The light, fruity profile with citrus, honey and pear notes makes this Prosecco incredibly versatile for food pairing. It's excellent as an aperitif with antipasti, prosciutto, or fresh seafood like oysters and prawns. The off-dry character also complements spicy Asian cuisine, particularly Thai or Vietnamese dishes where the bubbles cleanse the palate. For dessert, try it with fruit tarts or light pastries where the wine's natural sweetness won't be overwhelmed.

NV stands for 'Non-Vintage', meaning this Prosecco is blended from grapes harvested across multiple years to maintain a consistent house style. This is actually the traditional and preferred approach for most Prosecco producers, as it allows them to balance variations in individual harvests and deliver the reliable, fresh character consumers expect. The focus is on immediate enjoyment rather than ageing potential, which is why the producer recommends drinking it fast and opening another bottle.
